What is Disaster Recovery?

Disaster Recovery is the ability of a business to recover the functioning of its IT infrastructure, processes, and systems, following a natural or man-made incident. Business continuity planning, on the other hand, refers to the overall ability of a business to keep functioning through an incident, and the total sum of processes, people, and policies required to do so.
