Enterprises in the region have realised the value of Cloud Computing technologies in the data centre as a result of their increased focus on business productivity, cost cutting and driving efficiencies with their existing infrastructure, according to Yasser Zeineldin, CEO at eHosting DataFort.

He added that this trend is backed by new developments created by the economic downturn that have directly impacted IT budgets and have led to consolidation of IT infrastructure. Organisations have also had to deal with a rapidly growing mobile workforce that has critically augmented the importance of cloud computing technologies and solutions.

Zeineldin’s comments coincided with eHDF’s partnership with IDC Cloud Computing and Data Center Roadshow, organised by the global research and advisory firm International Data Corporation (IDC).

Held on 2nd May 2011 at the Grand Habtoor in Dubai, this year’s roadshow shared latest perspectives on Cloud Computing.
