Message from the CEO

Dear industry colleagues,

The first half of this year was quite eventful, and I would like to share with you some key events that took place, we are even more excited about the outlook for an equally promising rest of the year ahead.

This year, we have seen some complex technology deployments for a wide variety of clients across travel and tourism, banking and finance and government. Recently, we deployed an off-site solution to support DUBAL’s in-house data center during downtime or service disruption at its main production site. Given its huge ICT requirements, eHDF provides DUBAL with a disaster recovery site at the eHDF data center along with managed services.

Also, during the first half of 2014, we conducted a number of seminars for regional CIOs addressing relevant industry trends. Our seminar on ‘Transforming IT with Private Cloud infrastructure services’ highlighted latest cloud computing trends and the key benefits of shifting to the Private Cloud. We also hosted a seminar on Managed Remote backup with our partner CommVault Systems to address the growing importance and popularity of data back-up for small and large businesses in the UAE. More recently, we discussed the vCloud platform and the benefits of eHDF’s hosted private cloud infrastructure services at an exclusive conference hosted alongside our cloud partner VMware.

eHDF also conducted the annual Business Continuity Management (BCM) survey, the results of which will be revealed in the coming weeks. The survey aims to raise the visibility of IT disaster recovery (IT DR) and business continuity management (BCM) preparedness among organizations in the Middle East. The survey results reflect the evolution of the IT industry and dynamic regional business environment.

We are honored to be recognized once again as the ‘Best Managed Services provider’ in 2014 by the Network World Middle East awards. This award is a testament to our commitment to the regional managed services market and our mission to provide technology solutions to our clients’ ever changing business demands.

As technology continues to evolve, our product roadmap is also registering continuous evolution to best meet customer demands. To this end, we have announced a number of new services at eHDF. We recently launched managed remote backup services that have been designed to effectively manage daily back-up of critical information.

Considering the recent trends, cloud is on every IT professional’s mind. More importantly, it is here to stay! After the successful uptake of our managed private cloud offering, we are now gearing up to launch the first public cloud services in the region that will allow customers to buy cloud configurations using an online store. Over the coming months, we will also be launching Office 365 and Remote Management & Monitoring services.

I would like to reiterate that our success has been made possible through your continued support. I am confident that the latter half of this year will be filled with many more accomplishments. We look forward to participating in the exciting opportunities that the region’s changing technology landscape has to offer.

Best Regards,

Yasser Zeineldin
