Enterprises in the region have realised the value of Cloud Computing technologies in the data centre as a result of their increased focus on business productivity, cost cutting and driving efficiencies with their existing infrastructure.

Customers are increasingly beginning to realize the benefits of cloud computing and want to upgrade their current IT infrastructure to be able to derive benefits such as on-demand scalability, reduced hardware infrastructure costs and simplified management of the IT infrastructure and all this on a subscription based "pay as you go model". Towards this objective, enterprises are looking at adopting new-age technologies that provide long-term value and reduce the complexity of their current IT environments.

eHDF participated in the Cloud Computing World Forum MEA held on 28th and 29th of February 2012 and highlighted the fact that it would be launching cloud services in the second half of the year. This will kick off with two flavours of cloud, Managed Private Clouds, mainly for enterprise customers, and Light Public Cloud, which will extend eHDF's focus to the SME.
