eHosting DataFort focuses on Data Centre trends at Content Delivery and Digital Services Middle East Event in Dubai.

Managed services are gaining continued momentum with service providers investing in customer awareness initiatives leading to increased acceptance of these services. New infrastructure growth will come from managed hosting and disaster recovery services, according to Rajesh Abraham, Head of Product Development at eHosting DataFort (eHDF).

Companies will look at increased efficiencies in power and cooling and there will be continued interest in environmentally friendly data center strategies.

He highlighted that there is an increased demand for disaster recovery services as companies have realized that they just cannot afford to lose critical business and customer data and information. With increased compliance and regulatory requirements, this is becoming imperative.

According to Gartner, in a couple of years, private cloud will emerge as one of the top five priorities for governments and large private companies, primarily due to faster provisioning, standardization of processes and better governance. eHDF is seeing a similar trend with enterprises wanting to invest in Infrastructure as a service (Private cloud) in a hosted environment while SMBs are looking at low cost public cloud options.
