A computer security assessment is the process of analysing details that makes up a service solution. In detail the Operating System will be analysed to get a clear picture of the actual and potential vulnerabilities. After analysing the operating system services like FTP, HTTP will be analysed in the same detail. Further on file system rights, user management, protocols, local security policy are a few of the in depth assessments that will be done.

It is a common misunderstanding that servers are secure; there is no need to secure the workstations. However, in most cases the workstations are trusted by the servers and many break-ins to networks occur due to mis-configured or unsecured clients.

Hence it is very important to maintain appropriate level of security for both workstations and servers.

We are offering the customer an internal Computer Security Assessment service, which will assist in identifying the major system vulnerabilities of the selected assets.

It is recommended that the assessment is performed on all critical servers, and selective workstations from different departments.
